Vibeshots is built privacy-first. The short version: your screenshots and recordings never leave your Mac.

What runs on-device

All core functionality — screen capture, annotation, OCR (text recognition), secret detection, and secret-blurring — runs entirely on your device using Apple frameworks. Vibeshots does not upload your screenshots, recordings, or their contents to any server, and there is no account or login.

Data we do not collect

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your screenshots, recordings, or OCR text.
• We do not have an account system and do not collect personal profiles.
• We do not sell data to anyone.

System permissions

To function, Vibeshots requests two standard macOS permissions, granted once by you:

• Screen Recording — required to capture your screen.
• Accessibility — required to paste captures into other apps.

These permissions are used only to provide the app's features and are governed by macOS.

Payments

Purchases are handled by our payment provider. When you buy Vibeshots, the provider processes your payment information; we receive only the information needed to deliver your purchase and provide support (such as your email and order details). We do not store your card details.

Analytics

The Vibeshots website may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic. The Vibeshots app does not transmit your screenshots or their contents for analytics.
